1972 Airstream Overlander Land Yacht, 27'.
This was my grandparents camper. I have many fond memories of camping as a kid in this trailer and had hopes of restoring it to it's orginial beauty with some updates. However, I do not have the time and this could be someone else's dream restoration.
The couch/bed frames have been removed and the floor is down to the wood. The cubbies, which were for storage under the couch/bed frames were saved and they are orginal. The scrolling cabinet fronts were removed due to cracking/breaking. However, the plastic lead scrolls were left intact. Everything left inside the Airstream is orginial, as well as the hub caps. New tires were put on in 2011, with approx. 600 miles on them. My family and I camped in it two times last summer. We used it mainly for the air conditioning.
I do not have the keys to the outside cubby doors. They have been lost. The front door is missing the latch due to removal so I could get inside.
This Airstream was beautiful and could be again with minimal work. It deserves to be used by someone who will give it the attention is needs.
