HISTORY
Founded in 1999 by Skip Tamargo and joined shortly thereafter by former FCC Commissioner Henry Rivera The Emergency Email & Wireless Network, then The Emergency Email Network, began sending out the first critical & emergency news to evacuees of hurricane Floyd.

Since that time The Emergency Email & Wireless Network has become the 3rd largest breaking news provider on the Internet and a private media company. In continuous 24 hour operation for 11 years the company has sent 100's of millions of messages by email and to wireless devices.

Subscribers to The Emergency Email & Wireless Network include a "who's who" of business, federal and local government and private citizens from all walks of life.

Oh, this is a really neat idea! And very helpful if you're away from a wifi source (obviously). The university nearby does something similar-- texts the kids when something goes awry at school.

Well thank you for posting that Swift Silver! Believe it or not, hadn't heard of it. I will take all that info down and save it if I should need it. Good thing to have with you and I will spread the word to other friends to make sure they know about it.
