    AirStream on Pawn Stars

I just remembered an episode of Pawn Stars that I watched a few weeks ago (rerun) and someone on there was trying to sell them an old AS. They had purchased it to fix it up but never got to it. The guy from the show didn't buy it because it needed way to much work and someone had painted it. He just couldn't get over the painting part of it. He did go into some history of AS's that was interesting.

Thats a cringe moment. It happens more than most people realize.

I remember my dad buying an old AS when I was a kid. I actually looked forward to all of the traveling we were going to be doing with it. But my father never got around to working on it, and eventually he sold it, too.

That show could be so much better than it is. I saw the main guy get so excited over an AirStream one time and acted like he really loved it. Then he turned right around and sold it. I guess love of money beats out love of history and style. He does that so much that I've stopped watching the show.

I don't watch the show that often, but I think I know which guy you mean. He is always into classic vehicles. He knows a good classic when he sees one, but he is not so much interested in the vehicle itself, as he is about the money he can make from it.

I've never seen this show before, but the thought of someone painting an Airstream is enough to make me sick! How could you do that?!
