Our board enforces to a ZERO Tolerance policy regarding personal attacks,
harassment and overtly aggressive and/or threatening behavior of any kind.
Management reserves the exclusive right to Expel and/or Ban anyone
who violates this policy. No Excuses. No Explanations. No Exceptions.

Our aim is to maintain a relaxed member-to-member & business-friendly
environment that encourages participation without fear of repercussion.
Our website will not be used as a platform for personal crusades, personal
grievances, or commercial vendettas. We recommend such issues be resolved
either personally face-to-face or through proper legal channels. Take 'em out
behind the woodshed or whatever, but dont bring it here.

If you have received inappropriate messages or contacts please forward them
to an Admin or Staff Member immediately. Do not respond yourself.

Any inappropriate activity reported by a member will be investigated on a
case-by-case basis.

Libel, Defamation, Harassment, and Threats are NOT Constitutionally protected Free Speech.
They're legally actionable in a court of law and will not be tolerated on our board.
We adamantly refuse to expose any of our members, vendors or ourselves to the
legal liabilities associated with the above named behaviors.

After someone [who will remain nameless for the moment] began widespread
circulation of yet another of his plethora of fabricated fantasy allegations
and blatant falsehoods that we own or are part owner of the above linked
site...the true site owner decided he'd had enough.

Outstanding.

Seriously? I know that criticism can be pretty hard to take, but why would someone kill themself over it? I feel very sorry for her, though. She must have suffered a lot of mental anguish.

With all due respect, the "why" doesnt really matter.
You never know who you're dealing with, their circumstances, or their state
of mind. Also, this usually isnt typical "criticism"...it most oftentimes involves
a nightmarish level of viciousness.

The inevitable other end of the spectrum is coming soon where some yahoo
spouts off online about someone and finds himself/herself hunted down.
Watch and see.

Fortunately people are beginning to wake up to this phenomenon [gotta love tough-
as-nails AZ Gov Jan Brewer ] and the Courts are making examples of these idiots:

Arizona House Bill 2549, which has already passed both the Arizona House of Representatives
and Senate, would make it unlawful to “to use any electronic or digital device and use any obscene,
lewd or profane language or suggest any lewd or lascivious act, or threaten to inflict physical harm
to the person or property of any person” with the specific intention of scaring, annoying, or offending
the person on the other end of such activity. (You can see the full text of the bill as passed by the
legislature below.)

The bill is waiting for the signature of the governor, and it would make trolling and cyber-bullying a
Class 1 misdemeanor, the maximum consequence of which would include a six-month jail stint.
Stalking someone using an electronic device would become a Class 3 felony with wide-ranging
sentencing options that include multiple years behind bars.

The bill seems drastic, but as someone whose job includes being on the receiving end of online
harassment, name-calling, and threats, drastic sounds good to me.

I applaud you for taking a stand on this issue, cortes. Some of us just sit quietly by and shake our heads. There is a lot of strength in numbers, but whenever you feel something is right, you should stick to your guns. Even if you are the only one standing up for a cause, you have to go with your own instincts.

Over the weekend we received communications from another site owner struggling
with issues related to this thread. Im glad people learn here and Im glad we can play
some small role in helping other people realise that they dont have to tolerate the
abuses of online trolls and other idiots.
