We want to make this place with lots of Airstream info so ask away and if you think
you have the answer jump right in. To send a message direct to one of us just click
on the name and in the drop down menu you will see a line that says send a private
message to. Click on that a give one of us a holler.

    Re: New Members

Just dropping in after joining. DW and I are just kicking the tires and looking at Vintage Airstream. I am looking for a mid- to early- 70's and want to turn a good quality trailer into a modern on the inside but vintage skin Airstream. This is a LONG-TERM project as I am still in the Army and not planning on settling in one place yet.

We are non-Airstream owners but are on our second TT and love vacationing with the kids (9 & 5) in our TTs.

    Hi Cortez,

This is Fred again, working to accomplish an upload of a photograph. The screen shot here is what I get when I open the Manage Attachments button. This seems different from the screen shot you sent me. Interestingly ...... I was able to upload this screen shot easily! Hmmmm.... Perhaps there is something goofy about my .jpg.

Yes, if you uploaded the screenshot...that's it.

    Re: New Members

Thank you for the welcome! We are new vintagers (is that a word?), and we are looking forward to meeting many of the members both here and on the road- We are in the final stages of our Caravel restoration, and will share experiences on the threads. After a year and a half, we're excited to be able to actually use it!!!

    1968 17' Caravel

    Re: New Members

Hi! Welcome to the group. I have a 1968 Caravel and we are also very excited to begin using the little jem. It will require some work, but I am not planning to do a major restoration - like it sounds like you are just completing. Mostly, I just need photographs of the underside - rear - of a caravel, so I can rebuild mine to the original condition. Someone once attempted to add a grey water tank so the underbelly has been cut away under the shower, and the plumbing modified.

    All my very best!
