UK Riots...What Its Really All About.....

Rioting spread across London on Monday in a third night of violence, with
unrest also flaring in other English cities.
An extra 1,700 police officers were deployed in London, where shops were
looted and buildings were set alight.
Birmingham, Liverpool, Nottingham and Bristol also saw violence.

Two girls who took part in Monday night's riots in Croydon have boasted
that they were showing police and "the rich" that "we can do what we
want".
The pair who were drinking wine looted from a local shop at 09:30 BST on
Tuesday morning, spoke to the BBC's Leana Hosea.

An acquaintance in London told me that this has nothing to do with race or the economy. It's simply hordes of young people capitalizing on the fact that nothing is being done to restrain them. I cannot understand why the police are not using greater measures.

True story. Driving down the road today I got behind another truck
and in the back window the guy had these stickers stacked on top
of one another. I totally lost my composure from side-splitting
laughter. This guy can be my friend.

The rioting has subsided following an estimated £150M worth of damage to our city centres. £150M excludes the figure for looting.

The current Conservative/Liberal Government has had to make cutbacks so harsh that young people are rioting.
The fault is aimed squarely at the previous Labour Govt who borrowed and overspent so severly they nearly bankrupted the country.
They built a welfare state so over-inflated that the words 'Generational unemployment' has entered the British Language.
There is a whole class of people who don't work for a living - just like their parents. They are rioting because welfare is being cut to force them into Work.
Also they appear to have a feral attitude which leads them to feel violently aggrevied at the removal of their perceived entitlement to a free life.

Meanwhile, the (Quote "hated") British middle classes pay between 1/3rd and almost half their salary in taxes to support them.

Be very very careful with words and images. Words have precise & specific
meanings that can be used to illuminate...as well as manipulate.
"Hope & Change" leap to mind. "Democracy" sounds like a good word...but
be careful how its used. America isnt a true democracy. True democracy
amounts to mob rule. Our founding fathers knew this well.

Dont be fooled. Do your homework.

had spearheaded SDS: Tom Hayden. Hayden was one of the four
“initiators” of Progressives for Obama, along with Barbara Ehrenreich, Bill
Fletcher, Jr., and Danny Glover. Amazingly, Hayden, who wrote the
founding Port Huron manifesto for SDS, also penned the founding
manifesto for Progressives for Obama.

Yes, Tom Hayden was the spearhead for both.

Beyond its initiators, Progressives for Obama featured a list of 94 formal
“signers,” including Hayden’s ex-wife, Jane Fonda, and Mark Rudd, Carl
Davidson, Thorne Dreyer, Daniel Ellsberg, Richard Flacks, John McAuliff, Jay
Schaffner, and more. Columbia University was certainly represented, if not
through the likes of Rudd, who once shut down the campus, then
specifically through current faculty such as Todd Gitlin, a former SDS
president who today is professor of journalism, sociology, and chair of
Columbia’s doctoral program in communications.
