Question Airstream model names and identification

I have a 1969 International Overlander Landyacht. Is there any significance to the fact that the trailer carries all three names as opposed to one or two? Does it affect the value? On a different note, is measurement from hitch to tail or body length?

Hi...I am no authority on airstreams... but I have a 1966 International Ambassador. Overlander is a model and International means it is the more expensive version of your model. I think they are all considered landyachts.

Maybe someone else will give you a better answer.

there is not an NADA or guide for trailer values, but more names seems to correlate with less value in my opinon. The un-named 18' would appear to be the highest valued trailer.. Correlation between names and prices? not sure, but the really rare ones were made before the "international" was added.

my 1968 is branded "international" and i don't mind :-)

You already gave the best answer LadyBug.

Landyacht is essentially a base model. International was considered an upgrade with a few different
interior amenities, trim and badging [and more expensive]. Official measurement is bumper to hitch.
Im not sure in the official name which word came first Landyacht or International. I think it would
    have been a
    1969 Overlander Landyacht International .

Sorry to say, I don't usually know Airstream model names right off the bat. While there is no mistaking an Airstream when you see one, it is not always easy to know the model. Mainly because a lot of them are actually the same model, just different years, it can be hard sometimes.
