Locating past owners

Are there relatively simple ways of locating past owners of a specific vintage Airstream trailer? I've read a few stories of individual trailers and their lineages through past owners. How difficult is it, when you are buying an old Airstream, to find out who owned it in the past?

Thats a common question among new owners, where has my AS been and who owned it. The easiest way is by the red numbers on top front and rear these are membership numbers issued by the wbcci, and you would have to have accessto their membership directory that those numbers are posted in. But if the owners membership has expired they will not be listed any more and that's when it get's hard to find information.

Thanks for providing that information, Swift Silver. I like knowing that I might be able to trace who actually lived in my vintage Airstream at one point or another. Wouldn't it be exciting to follow in the footsteps of some old hero?

Our 67 has had 2 difrent numbers on it.. I do wonder where its been.
