1977 31ft A/C Replacement Best Brand?

Shopping for a new unit for a '77 31ft. and I was wondering is there is any brand that performs better, or is quieter, or has better reliability than other brands. I intend to get a 15000 BTU unit.

I have also heard that there might be a problem with new units fitting the curve of the roof? I have an Armstrong unit on it now and it appears to be flat on the bottom and it seems to fit fine on the roof. Just want to be sure to avoid any trouble with the fit.

There are several brands that are comparable...Carrier, Coleman, Dometic. All perform well.
Fit shouldnt be an issue with proper installation.
